 HERE ARE THE ADITIONAL INFORMATION, COVER VERSIONS & MORE... [link]  ****************************** Proyecto 9981 is an electro-pop band from Mexico City. The city where all-kitché things find their place of origin. The band is formed by Alex Osorio (vocals) and Oscar Bello (keyboards). We are strongly influenced by the pop icons: Madonna, Scissor Sisters, Goldfrapp, Ladytron, Fangoria, María Daniela y su Sonido Lasser, Dimmy!, Gastón Céspedes, etc. The album’s name is based on the Spontaneous generation theory by Aristotle. The theory is an obsolete theory regarding the origin of life from inanimate matter, which held that this process was a commonplace and everyday occurrence. Although it is not scientifically certain, we believe that it works in our music. We take the music from the nature and give it shape and live. Our debut album includes strong influences from the Electroglam and Techno-pop. Also most of the songs were written by Alex who mix different industrial and trendy sounds. The album has 12 tracks. Two of them are covers: “Ray of light” by Madonna, and “Destroy everything you touch” by Ladytron. The CD cover is based in the album’s name. It shows a great blend of our music-style and what Aristotle said. “Music speaks what cannot be expressed, soothes the mind and gives it rest, heals the heart and makes it whole, flows from heaven to the soul.” ****************************** This is my entry for the CD Cover Contest by  Journal entry: [link] ******************************  |
